The Huckstep is an innovative constant depth placement fertilizer shoe which places fertilizer approximately ¾” to the side and approximately ½” deeper than the seed. This placement will always be at the same location from the seed no matter what depth the seed is being planted.
It is also adjustable for wear or for additional depth. The Huckstep includes a specially designed hardened replacement knife. The Huckstep was designed for no-till conditions and works in minimum till, as well as conventional tillage.
The Huckstep is manufactured by Huckstep Forms of Louisiana, Missouri. With 34 years of experience, we are the Original Designer and Developer of this product. We strive to continue to improve and adapt our products.
We make the Huckstep fertilizer shoe for 3000, 4000 series Kinze, all John Deere and 6000,and 9000 White planters. Each has their own design to insure their compatibility to the individual planter row units.
What sets our product apart from others is our specially designed mounting brackets. The mounting brackets give it a heavy-duty mount for the knife which is critical when you ask for accurate placement of fertilizer this close to the seed. This also gives you the reliability in all kinds of conditions….Yes…even in rocks!
